Why Archive?

You see it almost every day on the news. A house burns down, gets destroyed by an earthquake, flood or is blown away by a tornado. They interview the victim and they always say the same thing: “We lost all our family photos!” Archive your collection and put a copy of the disc in your safety deposit box so you’ll have one less thing to worry about if, G-d forbid, disaster strikes.

Lots of people have their photos hiding in albums or a shoebox. Some of those pictures have faded, but when they’re stuck in a book or a box, who can tell, let alone see them? Let us scan and digitally restore them for you so they can be displayed on your computer, phone, tablet or a digital picture frame, where they will never fade again! This is the 21st Century, get with the times!

Remember when you were a kid and you had slide shows? Remember the hassle of setting up the projector and screen? Send us your slides. We’ll scan and digitally restore them to look like new so you can have a slide show on any of your digital devices without all that hassle!
We offer two levels of scanning; screen ready and archival. Screen ready will make your photos big enough to be seen clearly on any computer screen, post them on your favorite social media site or message board and will also allow you to print them, if desired, at their original size. Archival scanning is done on a sliding scale from 600dpi for 8 X 10 or larger originals up to 6400dpi for a 35mm slide or negative. This will allow you to reprint your images at any size up to double the original. It also means that you won’t have to scan your prints or slides again for a very long time unless there are major changes in digital media in the future. Complimentary fade correction will be provided as part of the service.

NEW:
With your archival scanning order, you will receive Screen Resolution files of all your images in addition to the Archival Quality ones at no additional charge. These will be optimized for emails, websites and social media.

Because we offer so many different services at so many different levels, it’s difficult to list them all. If you have a project you would like to entrust to us, please contact us by email at bogframe@gmail.com and we’ll be happy to provide you with a price quote and turnaround time
